I painted these guys up as a basic level commission, as far as I can tell they are from an old monsters guide for D&D. All I was given to go on for how to paint them was a unit entry with a black and white picture and a written description. It said they have a grey to green skin tone with a mottled red look to them. I think I got that across fairly well. For the bases I went with a cave floor feel but made sure to stick to lighter tones so they didn't just blend into it.
It was an interesting challenge to paint a model with no visual references at all and only a small blurb on their appearance.
